Mir Fontane (born 1994) is an American rapper from Camden, New Jersey, known for his storytelling lyrics that vividly depict life in his hometown. He gained recognition with his 2016 mixtape Who's Watching the Kids, which showcased his ability to blend introspective narratives with catchy hooks. His first studio album, Camden, was released a year later in June 2017.
His music often explores themes of struggle, resilience, and ambition, drawing inspiration from his personal experiences and surroundings. With a distinctive voice and raw authenticity, Mir Fontane continues to carve a unique space in the hip-hop scene.
In 2016, he signed a contract with the label 300 Entertainment, which also has Fetty Wap and Megan Thee Stallion under contract. During this time, he released the albums Camden, Macaroni Tony and Who's Watching The Kids 2. Since his 2020 collaboration album with Ish Williams What Would Jose Do? he has been releasing his work independently.
His best-known songs include Bodega, Down By The River and Georgia Peaches, all of which have around 7 million streams on Spotify.
Although he has been able to build a dedicated fan base in recent years, he is still considered to be waiting for his major breakthrough.
